Banana Crumble

Ingredients

Topping :

  • 1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1/4 oats
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup toasted pecans

filling:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 Teaspoon salt
  • 6 medium size bananas
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

To make the topping:

  • Place sugar, oats, all purpose flour and butter in a bowl.
  • Use your hands to mix the ingredients together until they become crumbly.
  • Add the toasted pecans to the mix then refrigerate .

To make the filling

  • In a pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter on a low heat, then add the sugar and stir for 3 minutes until it dissolves, then add salt, cinnamon and orange juice.
  • Cook the mixture for one minute until it thickens slightly.
  • Add the banana chunks to the pan and toss them gently until they are well coated.
  • Sprinkle the pre-made topping on the mixture and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven until the topping is golden brown about 20 minutes.
  • Let the mixture cool down about 10 minutes before topping with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
