Ingredients
Topping :
- 1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons cold butter
- 1/4 oats
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup toasted pecans
filling:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 Teaspoon salt
- 6 medium size bananas
- Vanilla Ice Cream
To make the topping:
- Place sugar, oats, all purpose flour and butter in a bowl.
- Use your hands to mix the ingredients together until they become crumbly.
- Add the toasted pecans to the mix then refrigerate .
To make the filling
- In a pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter on a low heat, then add the sugar and stir for 3 minutes until it dissolves, then add salt, cinnamon and orange juice.
- Cook the mixture for one minute until it thickens slightly.
- Add the banana chunks to the pan and toss them gently until they are well coated.
- Sprinkle the pre-made topping on the mixture and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven until the topping is golden brown about 20 minutes.
- Let the mixture cool down about 10 minutes before topping with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
