Steps to freeze vegetables

  • Freezing vegetables is a practical and easy way to preserve nutrients because some vegetables retain nutrients better when frozen. It is also an efficient way to enjoy your favorite produce all year-round.

1. Cut up or chop vegetables before freezing them, so their texture does not get harmed. Cutting larger vegetables into smaller pieces speeds the freezing process and minimizes texture loss.

2. Place vegetables into boiling salted water for a few moments, this step helps maintaining bright color and fresh flavor.

3. Spread steamed vegetables on a baking sheet and place in the freezer until frozen.

4. Once frozen, transfer vegetables into freezer bags with the air pressed out before sealing, then label the bags with the packing date.
